Tasmanian Butter Swede

Rich flavoured swede, without the turnip taste associated with most swedes; the best variety by far. Resistant to brassica pests, good yields. For best crops use 2 litres of C.O.F. per 5 square metres. Sow late Nov – mid February. Sprinkle seeds thinly in 5 mm deep furrows 60cm apart. Thin to 20cm in the row as crowded swedes do not make big roots.
