Laurentian Swede

A cultivar with high quality large roots of good flavour. They hold well in the ground during Winter and are easy to grow. Fairly resistant to damage by brassica pests. Sow Nov to Feb. Sprinkle seed thinly in 5 mm deep furrows, 60-90 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 20cm in the row carefully to allow for large roots. If hard frosts hit in Winter, mound soil over the roots to protect them.
